Pinnacle Cart has some good package setups. The most common is the $60/month plan, unless you have a very small store (less than 10 products) skip the $30 plan because it just doesn’t have a very large bandwidth and storage allowance and you will find yourself exceeding the limits quite often.
Every plan has an unlimited product limit so you really only need to decide how much bandwidth you will need – and the easier way to do that would be to start at the $60 plan and upgrade if you find yourself going over. Otherwise there are only 2 other factors you may wish to take into account (if they are relevant)
Do you use Quickbooks?
Go for the $60, $95 or $150 plan all of these support Intuit Anywhere for great integration between Pinnacle Cart and Quickbooks
Do you want access to the source code (you may if you are looking at lots of customisation and have very specific requirements)?
Go for the $95 or $150 plan give you access to the source code. Check with your developer as to whether you need this if you don’t know, but ask them to justify it – in my experience all developers will always say yes to this question whether it is needed by the client or not – its just a developer thing – in my experience 99% of small business ecommerce sites do not need the Pinnacle Cart source code.
The $30 and $60 plans also have a $49 setup fee – its a fair price, and I only mention it because the assumption these days is that the setup fee will be waived (it was a marketing effort that started in 2011 that never went away) – don’t let it put you off.
